Hey Lions! Join us for an afternoon outside for some fun in the sun. First, walking to get ice cream at Mariano's and then enjoying the outdoors at Mary Barteleme Park. Scheduled for May 18, 2020 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, we will stay inside for some fun activities in the classroom. Parents will pick up at 4:30 p.m. on Desplaines. Join Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Zei for a fun-filled afternoon at spider park (Mary Bartelme Park) and ice cream afterwards. We will walk to the park and enjoy our ice cream on the way. Scheduled for April 28, 2020 from 3:15pm-4:15pm. 24 slots available. (Entire class) $75
The Northern Lights will each get their own kite to personalize and decorate. They will then all walk over to Spider Park to fly them together! As an added treat, they will enjoy popsicles at the end. Scheduled for May 15, 2020 from 3:15-5:00pm. We are asking individuals to donate $75 to attend; however, we encourage all families to donate at whatever level you feel comfortable. Strap on your ice skates, first graders! Room 23 is invited to an afternoon of skating, food, and fun at MB Ice Arena, the practice rink of the Chicago Blackhawks! The day will include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Blackhawks' locker room and spaces not open to the public. Instructors will be available for beginner ice skaters. Online waiver application required for each participant prior to event. Scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2020, 3:00-5:00 p.m. (Entire Classes, Room 23) $100

Fun activities include: extra whole grade recess at the park; teacher swap (teachers teach different subjects) and no homework; PJs and nap day; Kahoot and game day; movie party! Is your child ready for the perfect 7th grade day? We polled the 7th grade students on what would be their dream day. Every $300 raised unlocks an additional activity. The more money raised, the closer we are to a day in 7th HEAVEN! Possible PERFECT 7th Grade Day activities might include: extended recess, a dress down day, pizza lunch, ice cream, and a movie in the afternoon. Scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2020, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. As a team, we hope to raise $4,000, and a donation of any amount will help us reach our goal. Join the 7th and 8th grade team of teachers for an afternoon of Whirlyball. Whirlyball is a combination of basketball, jai-alai, and bumper cars that is both competitive and safe. Inclusive of all age groups, Whirlyball is played inside at a location in Lincoln Park (1825 W Webster). One lucky family who bids the highest for this opportunity will be able to bring up to ten participants of their choice. All 7th and 8th grade families welcome to bid and participate. Lunch will be included. Schedule for Saturday, May 9, 2020. Time TBD. $300
